    CIVITAS is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development for our fast-growing experiential agency. The Director of Business Development will be responsible for carrying out the growth strategy of the agency, by identifying, engaging, and building relationships with potential clients. Experience in business development in an agency setting is essential.


    • Assist in driving an appropriate business development process for each new business opportunity
    • Support a culture of growth within the office
    • Collaborate with the CEO on strategy to improve win rate, ROI and other office/region-specific goals
    • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of civitas/Scoppechio, relevant technical specialties and potential client needs
    • Strong communications skills to effectively articulate ideas to colleagues, prospects and others   
    • Support business development initiatives across the office
    • Coordinate leads as they come in
    • Maintain data integrity of current pipeline opportunities
    • Facilitate appropriate resources (research, creative, etc.) for all prospects and pitch opportunities
    • Organize and engage in brainstorms
    • Communicates responses and pitch, while creating new content
    • Manage the presentation process
    • Work with finance and the new account team after win to ensure rapid activation 
    • Develop and implement a prospect database tracking system
    • Identifies target organizations and key prospects
    • Ensure that the office maintains a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects


    • BS/BA degree in marketing, communications, business or related field
    • 7-10 years of business development experience in the marketing communications or professional services fields
    • Ability to layout designed templates in Word and PPT
    • Attention to detail and love for creating business development experiences
    • Able to maintain a positive, collaborative and results-oriented attitude under pressure
    • Demonstrated success in business development
    • Demonstrated ability to lead new business teams in the pitch process
    • Excellent verbal, written, project management and presentation skills
