    CIVITAS is seeking a Field Event Manager to work effectively with both client and internal teams to flawlessly deliver event programs that drive client results against established strategic objectives, timelines and financial goals. A Field Event Manager thrives under pressure, loves to travel, and has a passion for event production and logistics. The Field Event Manager reports directly to the Creative team.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the execution of assigned promotional event programs of various size and scale
    • Support the strategic planning and creative development of client event initiative
    • Support the management of planning tools; i.e. budget tracking, project timeline, production schedules, run of show, event specs, graphics matrix, staffing, registration platforms, giveaways, activities, transportation, hotel room blocks, meeting agendas and notes, etc
    • Staff, recruit and manage regional event staff
    • Serves as primary point of contact of event information to regional event staff in conjunction with Creative Team.
    • Track budget costs throughout the course of project and communicate scope changes that affect budget to the Creative Team.
    • Support the reconciliation of budgets and participate in internal and external project debriefs
    • Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with all team members and departments (production, creative, logistics, etc)
    • Support event/production team and develop skills that can meet changing client needs
    • Develop and actively manage vendor/freelance relationships to ensure best available resources

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications or hospitality preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in on-site event management
    • Minimum of 3 years experience in staff and/or event management and recruiting
    • Without a Bachelor’s Degree-
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in on-site event management and 5 years experience in recruiting, hiring and managing event staff.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong time management and multitasking skills
    • Ability to lift or move 30 pounds
    • Ability to drive company box truck
    • Must be flexible, outgoing, goal-oriented, be able to manage multiple national projects simultaneously and be a quick learner
    • Excellent computer skills: comfortable with Google platform, Microsoft and Apple applications, Microsoft Office suite, Social Networking sites, collaborative team project software, etc
    • A strong work ethic
    • Willingness to travel nationally (including evening, weekends and some holidays)
    • Motivated, positive attitude, and results-oriented
